Here’s what’s happening: most people screenshot product images from retailer websites. It’s fast, it’s easy, and it looks fine on your phone screen when you’re putting the collage together. But screenshots capture at your screen’s display resolution, not at the image’s actual resolution. When that screenshot goes into Canva and gets sized up for a carousel or a Pinterest graphic, it gets stretched — and suddenly you can see every pixel.

The Fix
It’s genuinely a one-minute thing.
Right-click directly on the product image
On Mac, right-click or Ctrl+click. On Windows, right-click. On mobile, press and hold. Chrome users: the free “Save Image As PNG” extension in the Chrome Web Store makes this even faster.
Select “Save Image As” and save as PNG
That’s it. You now have the original high-resolution file. Upload it directly into Canva and it stays crisp at any size — no stretching, no blur, no visible pixels.

This one is an easy win. It costs you nothing, takes less than a minute to learn, and the difference it makes in your finished graphics is immediate. Start with your next collage and you’ll never go back to screenshots.
